An English teacher who I only knew for 2 months, but for whom I was a delightful student, gave me this as a graduation gift. I've really enjoyed it so far, my favourite stories being The Healer and The Specialist's Hat. As a writer, I enjoy getting a taste of a bunch of people's proses and seeing what I'd want to adapt for myself. I tend to have a disdain for 1st person literature due to its common usage in shitty romances and fanfiction (saying this also a fanfiction enjoyer), but I've liked the 1st person in these shorts. I don't think my English teacher actually knew much of my taste in reading, but this is pretty much exactly it. I love surreal stories, prose that can be hard to break through on the 1st or even 2nd or 3rd read, and crazy information being presented in a matter of fact way. I am excited to finish the remaining 11 stories.
