songs you should hear: birdbath + quarter pounder

So far, this is my favourite album of 2023! This is the best representation of Gezebelle Gaburgablys skill, and I highly recommend it above her other albums. I think a lot of people get off-put by her early stuff, which is completely and totally fair, but she really has some cool things to share with the world.

Gaburger has songs from a lot of different styles :3 from Gez's classic loud pop-ish songs (truly don't know how to describe, I have never heard anything like it!), to quieter and more emotionally reaching ballads, to some rap and faster paced lyricism. She is PISSED throughout this entire thing, even reaching through in the softer pieces. If you know a single thing about the meaning behind the songs, it makes sense lol.

My favourite songs are between Quarter Pounder, Inside Her and Birdbath. This is a no-skip album to me, but those ones especially!! Heads Up was released as a single before this, and that maybe my fav Gez song ever, but since its a single I'll leave it out of my favs specifically from the album. The lyrics in all of these songs are so witty and snarky, and there are some things so specific that I have to wonder what exactly they're referring to. Gez's music is always very personal, but all of these songs get pushed up as wayy more personal to the listener since details of why these songs were made are public. Previous affairs mentioned in older albums, we don't know who they're about, but we know a lot of who these songs are about.
