Sylvia is my fursona! I made him in May 2020, altho I didn't start using him as a sona until a year later. Here is his first ever drawing
Sylvia's species is... Not! He is just a vague creatura. He's vaguely a sea creature, but has a very standard furry face and floppy ears, he's just a sea creature I suppose. In his story, Sea Glass Stars, he is a deep sea diver turned astronaut. I like this part of him, it feels very representative of me - He is very silly, chill guy, but very academically accomplished.

His colours have changed a lot since I first made him. I used to strictly follow the dark greens on his original image, but now he can & has been every shade of green or blue. This presented to be very helpful when I was working on his fursuit! Theres a very severe lack of greens in any shade, so I was glad I had many potential combos to work with instead of searching for very specific shades of green. This is the first fursuit I ever made and I'm very happy with him. His fur is a bit long, a common issue with beginner fursuits, but I literally do not own clippers that will cut his fur any shorter so hes stuck as shaggy for now. Maybe this summer when I go to anthrocon, my more experienced maker friend can lend me a pair of clippers to shave 'em with :p

A lot of my best art has been of Sylvia - he just fills me with so much joy to draw. He was my first oc (besides Kantel, an oc I've had for 7 years) to reach 100 drawings!

I love Sylvia because he can be interpreted in any way the artist desires. I have a strict reference sheet encase people like to follow exact details, but I find in practice 99% of people enjoy picking which details they like and even changing stuff. I LOVE when people change my ocs!!!! My friend Leechbites drew the first photo below, and ever since I commonly draw Sylvia with swirly cheek markings!! Heres a bunch of Sylvia art from my friends - check his Toyhouse for credit!
