the throne of the third heaven of the nations' millennium general assembly by le loup
songs you should hear: we are gods! we are wolves! + outside of this car the end of the world

This album ignites a new emotion in me that I'm not quite sure how to describe. It's a yearning for nature, and the supernatural, combined with trying to find my place in this world. Some of these songs make me feel a little wolf running through the forest, and others feel like a postapocalyptic survivor trying to make their world through the world.

The instrumentals and vocals work together so beautifully to form the vibe of this project. Its very cohesive; The entire thing feels almosr ambient, and some lyrics repeat themselves in multiple songs. The album feels vast, no matter what the song it feels like a dark forest, I dunno. Its all so abstract; The songs follow nonsensical plotlines, that feel almost above our understanding as human. I love the way the vocalists voice shakes, I love the way the vocals layer over eachother to create beautiful harmonies, I love how the singer almost doesn't sound human to me. The lyrics, despite their abstrctness, also hit me very hard simply because they're beautifully written. "Le Loup (fear not)" probably has my favourite lyrics. "Pointed skywards, scraped the heavens" is a phrase that has stuck with me since the first time I heard it.

The instruments here are so beautiful. This album is very folky, taking advantage of the range of guitars and banjos. Some parts are very slow and still, but build up to these huge grand larger-than-this-moment type events. They can get very dense at some points; Theres so many different parts to listen for. I love the way the voice is used purely for noise, and not for words, through much of this album.
